G0402: NIMS Overview for Senior Officials (Executives, Elected, and Appointed)

Course Description: The purpose of this course is to familiarize Senior Officials (Executives, elected and appointed officials, city/county managers, agency administrators, etc) their role in supporting incident management within the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

Overall Course Objective: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to explain National Incident Management System (NIMS) tenets and the role of the four command and coordination entities (ICS, EOC, MAC Group, and JIS) within NIMS.

Delivery: This is a 3.5 hour course to be delivered at the Baldwin County EMA building in Robertsdale, AL. Class will start at 9am and conclude at approximately 12:30pm. Additional information will be sent to course registrants prior to class. A certificate will be issued by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency upon successful completion of the course.
