Course Description:

Alabama Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (ALTERT) Basic Awareness Course is designed to train experienced cal processors and dispatchers to assist other agencies when needed or called upon.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum two years as a telecommunicator
• IS-144.x (current equivalent) TERT Basic Course
• IS-100.x (current equivalent) Introduction to Incident Command System
• IS-200.x (current equivalent) Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
• IS-700.x (current equivalent) An Introduction to the National Incident Management
• IS-800.x (current equivalent) National Response Framework, An Introduction
• IS-5.x (current equivalent) An Introduction to Hazardous Materials
