DESCRIPTION:MGT-346-EOC-Operations-Planning-for-All-Hazards\n(COURSE FLYER IN LINK)\nDescription\nThis course provides personnel who could be assigned to or work in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) the skills necessary to effectively plan for and manage a large-scale incidents by applying and implementing an all-hazards\, multi-disciplinary\, management team approach. The course places specific emphasis on the planning\, resource\, and information management processes. The course focuses on the key decision-making requirements within the Emergency Operations Center. The jurisdictional team will learn from the effects of incident decisions while working in an EOC using a simulated\, notional jurisdiction as they respond to the final days exercise. The instructional team consists of coaches and mentors experienced in emergency management and incident response. The course uses a multi-discipline\, jurisdictional approach to accomplish the course objectives. The course adapts existing incident management systems\, best practices and procedures to the unique requirements of responding to all-hazards incident.\nPrerequisites\nNone required\, however participants should be tasked to work in an EOC. Participants should also possess a working knowledge of ICS. This can be gained through FEMA’s IS-100\, 200\, 300\, 400\, 700\, & 800 courses. It is highly recommended participants complete:\n•FEMA IS-775\, EOC Management and Operations\n•FEMA IS-701\, National Incident Management System Multi-Agency Coordination System\nRecommended\nParticipants should have an intermediate level of understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) and some experience in incident management. Completion of IS-775\, EOC Management and Operations Course is also recommended. Basic ICS information can be gained via completion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) online courses IS-100\, IS-200\, IS-700\, and IS-800. \nTopics\n\nMulti-Agency Coordination System (MACS)\nFunctions of the EOC\nEOC Organizational Models\nPlanning Process\nInformation Management Process\nResource Management Process\nManagement and Operations Processes\nFamiliarization with and use the Emergency Management Exercise System (EM*ES)\nWorking in an EOC\nDecision-making exercises\n\nAudience\nEligible participants include emergency management and response personnel who currently or potentially work in an EOC at the state\, territorial\, local\, tribal\, or Department of Defense (DoD) installation level. Enrollment can be single participants\, jurisdictions\, or mixed. \nDisciplines include\, but are not limited to: \n\nLaw Enforcement (LE)\nEmergency Medical Services (EMS)\nEmergency management\nFire Service\nGovernmental administrative\nPublic safety communications\nHealth care\nPublic Health (PH)\,\nHazardous Materials (HazMat)\nPublic Works (PW)\nUtilities\nNon-governmental organizations\nVolunteer and/or faith-based organizations\nPrivate business partners\n\nEducation Credits\n\n2.4 CEUs\n\nRegistration\n\nContact Trent Simon\, Morgan County EMA Training Officer\, at tsimon@co.morgan.al.us or 256-351-4621
