SUMMARY:G0300 Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\nThis course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses. \n\nCourse Objectives\n\n\n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.\nDescribe the Incident/Event Management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the ICS.\nImplement the Incident Management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.\nDevelop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.se\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\n\nParticipants must have successfully completed: \n\nIS 100\, Introduction to the Incident Command System\nIS 200\, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response\nIS 700\, National Incident Management System\, An Introduction\nIS 800\, National Response Framework\, An Introduction\n\nIt is recommended that the student have prior experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100\, ICS 200\, and use of skills in a response or exercise. If prospective students need to complete any of these prerequisites while the FEMA site is unavailable\, please contact brandy.davis@ema.alabama.gov for an online option outside of the FEMA website.
