DESCRIPTION:Course Description\n\n\nThe goal of this professional development course\, G0191 Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface\, is to enable the students to develop an effective interface between the Incident Command/Unified Command and the Emergency Operations Center by applying National Incident Management System principles. \nSelection Criteria: The intended audience(s) are federal\, state\, tribal\, territorial\, local level\, private industry\, volunteer and nongovernmental emergency management personnel who are active in a community’s ICS and EOC activities. This course works best when delivered to combined audience of ICS and EOC personnel. The materials were developed with the assumption that audience members may have little or no actual experience as a member of an Incident Command Post staff or an EOC Staff. \n\n\n\n\nCourse Objectives\n\n\n\nExplain the course structure and potential ICS/EOC interface challenges.\nExplain key NIMS concepts\, command and coordination systems\, and structures.\nAnalyze given scenarios to determine commonalities and potential interface issues between ICS and EOCs.\nExplain the respective roles and interconnectivity of the NIMS command and coordination systems in coordination.\nContrast the typical role and functions of the Incident Command and the EOC during emergency operations.\nAnalyze given scenarios to apply ICS/EOC interface concepts.\nDevelop an ICS/EOC interface action plan for your community.\nSummarize the course objectives.\n\n\n\n\n\nMission Areas\n\n\n\nCommon\n\n\n\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\n\nPrior to enrolling in G0191\, students must complete: \n\nIS-0100 An Introduction to the Incident Command System\, ICS 100\nIS-0700 An Introduction to the National Incident Management System\nIS-0800 National Response Framework (NRF)\, An Introduction\nIS-0200 Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response\, ICS 200 or\nIS-2200 Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
