This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses. \n\n\nCourse Objectives\n\n\n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.\nDescribe the Incident/Event Management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the ICS.\nImplement the Incident Management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.\nDevelop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.\n\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\nParticipants must have successfully completed:– IS0100\, Introduction to the Incident Command System;\n– IS0200\, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response;\n– IS0700\, National Incident Management System\, An Introduction;\n– IS0800\, National Response Framework\, An Introduction\nRecommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100\, ICS 200\, and use of skills in a response or exercise.

DESCRIPTION:Registration: https://www.alabamafirecollege.org/non-certification-courses/ \nCourse Description: \n\nThis course focuses on the importance of developing and operating as a functional U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). \nThis course meets the needs of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Framework (NRF). \nThis course will assist individual responders to perform as viable team members by: \n\nDemonstrating the goals of NIMS and NRF.\nEmphasizing the nature and purpose of a USFA Type 3 AHIMT so that others in the community and emergency services are more willing and able to assist within various components of their local USFA Type 3 AHIMT.\nDemonstrating the critical role that leadership and teamwork skills play in the success of a USFA Type 3 AHIMT.\nProviding a basic framework for building and maintaining critical interpersonal communications and working together as a team member of a USFA Type 3 AHIMT.\nOffering practical experience of on-scene operations through extensive exercises and simulations\, as well as through post-course refresher training\, by providing students with the opportunity to perform as members of a USFA Type 3 AHIMT during a mock incident management situation.\n\n\n\nRecommended: This course is intended to be taught at a basic level. DESCRIPTION:POC: STO\, David Morgan 205-280-2476 or david.morgan@ema.alabama.gov \nCourse Description: The purpose of this course is to familiarize Senior Officials (Executives\, elected and appointed officials\, city/county managers\, agency administrators\, etc) their role in supporting incident management within the National Incident Management System (NIMS). \nOverall Course Objective: Upon completion of this course\, students will be able to explain National Incident Management System (NIMS) tenets and the role of the four command and coordination entities (ICS\, EOC\, MAC Group\, and JIS) within NIMS. \nDelivery: This is a 3.5 hour course to be delivered at the Baldwin County EMA building in Robertsdale\, AL. Class will start at 9am and conclude at approximately 12:30pm. Additional information will be sent to course registrants prior to class. A certificate will be issued by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency upon successful completion of the course.
