DESCRIPTION:Registration: Coordinate registration through State Training Officer – Training@ema.alabama.gov \nMore Info: https://www.tn.gov/tema/emergency-community/training/training-calendar/2023/10/16/l0950-all-hazards-incident-commander.html \nPOC: TEMA.Training@tn.gov \nCourse Description \nThe goal of this professional development course is to provide local and state-level emergency responders with an overview of key duties and responsibilities of an Incident Commander within the ICS structure and specifically for a Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). \nThe learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 75% on final knowledge assessments or demonstrate mastery on performance assessments or research assignments to earn the IACET CEU.\nSelection Criteria: NIMS ICS Position Specific training shall be completed by personnel who will be required to gain a certificate of training and the credentials to function in an ICS Organization\, such as an IMT\, as a member of the Command\, General Staff or as a Unit Leader. VRC Training will prepare participants to staff VRCs that will register and place spontaneous volunteers in times of disaster. These centers ensure that volunteers are given meaningful and constructive opportunities to satisfy their desire to assist in a time of need\, while not overwhelming the affected community during the disaster response and recovery process. The training includes an interactive VRC exercise where participants experience the VRC model and practice managing spontaneous volunteers.
