This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses. \n\n\nCourse Objectives\n\n\n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.\nDescribe the Incident/Event Management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the ICS.\nImplement the Incident Management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.\nDevelop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.\n\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\nParticipants must have successfully completed:– IS0100\, Introduction to the Incident Command System;\n– IS0200\, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response;\n– IS0700\, National Incident Management System\, An Introduction;\n– IS0800\, National Response Framework\, An Introduction \nRecommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100\, ICS 200\, and use of skills in a response or exercise.

DESCRIPTION:Register: https://teex.org/class/PER211/ \nPOC: Erin Coker\, 251-690-7512\, ecoker@mchd.org \nCourse Description \nWhat if a catastrophic event occurs? Will you be ready? Will you need a special level of protection? Is decontamination necessary? Do you have the right medications? \nPER 211\, Medical Management of Chemical\, Biological\, Radiological\, Nuclear and Explosives\, (CBRNE) Events answers these questions and more as you learn how to distinguish between different agents of concern that could be used in a major incident. \nThis course is a combination of facilitated discussions\, small-group exercises\, Human Patient Simulator hands-on scenarios\, and traditional classroom discussions. Exercises are conducted in a CBRNE scenario using both adult and pediatric Human Patient Simulators to reinforce classroom lectures and interaction. \nThis course promotes critical thinking skills while utilizing the RAPID-Care concept. The multi-discipline make-up of the participants helps to strengthen information sharing\, communications\, and medical surge capabilities.
