Thank you. \nCourse Objective: Teach the All-Hazards Logistics Section Chief course through the use of lecture\, interactive discussion\, guided exercises and activities\, and practice student teaching.  \nCourse Description: This course is designed to assist the student in his or her preparation to function effectively as under the NIMS/Incident Command System.  \nPersonnel selected to serve as instructors for this course will teach in the field to personnel representing the Nation’s first responders and allied professions from various Federal\, state\, and local organizations. \nThe audience for the course includes people functioning within the environment of an Incident Management Team (IMT) as fully qualified and have a significant instructional delivery background. \nThe use of qualified\, knowledgeable\, and experienced instructors is an important aspect in the successful delivery of AHPS training. The learning experience is heightened when the instructors have real-world experience and have served in the capacity for which they are providing instruction. This experience should include service on a variety of incidents during major operations\, planned events\, and/or full scale Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation (HSEEP) compliant exercises as determined by the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). \nSelection Criteria: All applicants for admission into the All-Hazards Position-Specific (AHPS) Train-the-Trainer (TtT) program must:  \n•Have completed the course they desire to teach prior to applying for acceptance into the Train-the-Trainer program \n•Be a fully qualified LSC; completed Position Task Book (PTB) \n•Have documented experience serving as a LSC on Type 3\, Type 2 or Type 1 AHIMT(S) \nACE: Level: Lower Division/Associate \nACE: Credit Hours: 2 \nTarget Audience: Qualified Logistics Section Chief Personnel  \nPrerequisites: \nCompletion of the E/L0967 Logistics Section Chief course and: \nThe most current versions of: \n\nIS 100: Incident Command System (ICS)\, An Introduction\nIS 200: ICS for Single Resource and Initial Action Incidents\nE/L/G 0300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents (ICS 300)\nE/L/G 0400: Advanced Incident Command System for Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents (ICS 400)\nIS 700: National Incident Management System (NIMS)\, An Introduction\nIS 800: National Response Framework (NRF)\n\nIn conjunction with the above requirements\, instructor candidates must also provide documentation that demonstrates successful completion of formal adult education and/or instructor training to include at least one of the following or its equivalent: \n\nNational Fire Academy’s (NFA) Educational Methodology course\nNational Wildfire Coordinating Group’s (NWCG) Facilitative Instructor (M-410) course\nCenter for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) Instructor Training Certification Course\nEquivalents (i.e. FEMA E/L/0141\, Instructional Presentation and Evaluation Skills\, Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC); Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC); G265 Basic Instructional Skills course\, etc.)\nState Certified Level II or higher Fire\, Rescue\, and/or EMS Instructor (NFPA 1041 Level II)\nState Certified Teaching Certificate\nAdvanced degree in education\, educational psychology\, technical education\, or a related program\n\nRecommended: \n\nNational Wildland Coordinating Group (NWCG) S-420 or S-520 \nIntegrated Emergency Management Course (IEMC)\nNational Association of State Foresters (NASF) Complex Incident Management Course (CIMC)\nNational Fire Academy (NFA) Command & Control or Command & Control of Natural and Manmade Disasters courses\nNFA O-337\, Command & General Staff course\nNFA O-305\, All-Hazards Incident Management Team course; U.S. Fire Administration• NFA O-337\, Command & General Staff Functions for Local Incident Management Team (US Fire Academy)\n\n  \nTraining Dates: January 28 – February 1\, 2019 (Course will start at 8:00 AM)  \nLocation: Alabama Emergency Management Agency (Media Room)  \n5898 County Road 41 \nClanton\, AL 35046-2160 \nRegistration: Applicants will need to submit a FEMA 119-25-1 to the AEMA Exercise & Training Section at training@ema.alabama.gov.
