DESCRIPTION:ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents\nHosted by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency\n  \nThe Alabama Emergency Management Agency will be hosting the ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents course on November 14-16\, 2018 in Clanton\, Alabama. \nCourse Description\nThis course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses. \nSelection Criteria\nIndividuals who may assume a supervisory role in incidents. Note: During a Type 3 incident\, some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated\, as well as Division/Group Supervisor and/or Unit Leader level positions. These incidents may extend into multiple operational periods. \nCourse Objectives\n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.\nDescribe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).\nImplement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.\nDevelop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.\n\nMission Areas\n\nRespond\nRecover\n\nPrerequisites\nStudents will need to complete the most recent versions of the following courses: \nIS0100.c\, Introduction to the Incident Command System\, ICS 100; \nIS0200.b\, Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents; \nIS0700.b\, National Incident Management System\, An Introduction; and \nIS0800.c\, National Response Framework\, An Introduction \nRecommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100 and ICS 200 in a response or exercise \nDisciplines\n\nEmergency Management\n\nStudents will need to register for this course through the AEMA Training Portal. Students will also need to bring proof of completion of prerequisites (IS Course Transcript or Completion Certificates) on the first day of the course. \n
