ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents

The Alabama Emergency Management Agency will be hosting the ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents course on November 14-16, 2018 in Clanton, Alabama.

Course Description

This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses.

Selection Criteria

Individuals who may assume a supervisory role in incidents. Note: During a Type 3 incident, some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated, as well as Division/Group Supervisor and/or Unit Leader level positions. These incidents may extend into multiple operational periods.

Prerequisites

Students will need to complete the most recent versions of the following courses:

IS0100.c, Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100;

IS0200.b, Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents;

IS0700.b, National Incident Management System, An Introduction; and

IS0800.c, National Response Framework, An Introduction

Recommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100 and ICS 200 in a response or exercise

Disciplines

Students will need to register for this course through the AEMA Training Portal. Students will also need to bring proof of completion of prerequisites (IS Course Transcript or Completion Certificates) on the first day of the course.
